The prompt for this project was relatively simple; the goal was to create an animation that followed some key animation principles such as: anticipation, follow through, staging, easing, etc. the project was very free in nature and the subject matter could be anything as long as we use these principles throughout the animation.
Project Goals
My goal with this project was to create an animation for a problem that I have dealt with a countless number of times. This problem was the transferring of music playlists between different applications. I constantly have found myself wanting to send friends playlists but they use a different app. So what could solve this problem? I wanted to create a motion graphics piece that showed the use of the app and representative of its functions

What I learned
Throughout this project, I learned a lot about coming up with a solution to a design problem in the real world and applying the solution in the form of motion graphics. Throughout, I had to challenge myself to think about the project from the standpoint of the user and how to convey the essential functions of the app through dynamic movement. In the end, I quickly discovered the use of 3D space and the graph editor to create fluid and smooth animation. This Project really just solidified my knowledge of After Effects and puts it on display
